1st kayak bass

Featured Replies

I got a new (to me) kayak recently and had to take it out last weekend.

Launched in 35 degree weather and fished for a couple hours. Caught this bass yo-yoing a Red Eye Shad off a rocky point.

Measured 21 inches.

Can't wait for spring!

Very nice fish! It's good to see that you were rewarded with her for going out in that weather!

Awesome fish!  Is that ice on your shoe, or "shoe goo"?

One word of advice, get a Seal Line drybag, and put a complete change of clothes and a towel.  If you dump it, hypothermia can set in real quick.

Beautiful fish!! Congrats 8-)

One hot looking fish... haha... good catch!

Nice fish! Where were you fishing?

nice looking fish you have there. How was the bite, was it intense or sluggish.

Thanks guy.

It was cold but I had some clothes in a dry bag just in case with the cold weather. Gotta play it smart.

That is "shoe goo" on my waders! I got a leak in the toe area and it actually worked pretty good.

The bite was real sluggish, just dead weight all of a sudden. The fish has the  bait down deep, guess she wanted it.

Oh yeah, fishing a small public lake in the Raleigh area.

Betcha that strong lookin' fish took you and your yak for a tow..... ;D Nice fish and terrific photo
