guess the weight.

Featured Replies

My wife caught this bass, unfortunately we didn't have any way to weigh it. I'm guessing that it's around 15 inches. This is her shoe which is a size 7 ½ size women's shoe . Does anyone have a guess on the weight of this fish?

2 pounds, 1 ounce.

If you're going to lay it on the ground like that why not just take it home?

2.25-2.75 lbs She's fat so she might hit 3.

(Fyi- It's very unhealthy for the fish to be laid on the asphalt like that. The slimy stuff on the outside of a fish is actually the fish's immune system. Best off to hold him/her for the picture and then release it.)

2 1/2 lbs

Length X Length X Girth = Weight

           1200

15 x 15 x 18 = 3.4 Pounds

       1200

I estimated the Girth.

You can redo the formula with the correct girth measurement.  :)

It was her fish so it was her decision to keep or release it. She wanted to let it go and so we did.

Thanks for all of the guesses!

2 lbs. 8 oz.  just a guess.

swmbo wears a 7.5.

would peg her right at 2.5#...give or take.

congrats on the catch.

Hmm...my guess before looking at everyone else's was 4.5lbs.  I guess I'm overly optismistic.

Well I think if you were to ask her how big yours was, you would appreciate an inflated number so you should return the favor and tell her it was 4 pounds.
