Rage Toads and Lobsters!

Featured Replies

Had a great day on the water yesterday.  A storm front came through, which brought some cloud cover and temps below 100!  Hooray!

Until about noon, I was catching them on ragetail toads and buzzbaits.  Then when the cloud cover cleared I hit the laydowns with lobster jigs.

Good times.  Can't wait to try the new ragetail stuff!

Welcome to the Rage Tail Afficianado Club.

It's always good to have another weapon in the arsenal.

keep the .22 on the boat for mudfish (bowfin) or just for plinking?

No gators here, but we do have water moccasins and an overpopulation of turtles in this pond.  The owner has asked me to help him control their numbers a bit.

Besides, this is Texas.  I think we're required to have a gun on the boat with us anyways. :)

very nice

Hey ETB, you have those fish Chokin' on your jig combo....must have found their weakness Nice photos too

I have carried my 12ga a couple times in my jon boat for that exact reason, something slightly scary about being in a 12' jon, with gators about the same size swimming around!

easttexas: moccassins makes sense, didn't think about that one, but the turtles, seems like easy pickens to me. and yea,I'd expect a gun on a boat if its in texas, heck,I'd carry one here every time I go out, if it were my boat I fish on regularly. but I'd probably keep it in the rod box until I needed it.
