Muskie fishing with Farmpond1 and another buddy

Featured Replies

We headed out the Lake Shelbyville spillway for a day of Muskie fishing. It ended up being a beautiful day out, the water was a little high but not to bad. Everybody ended up catching a Muskie, which made for an amazing day of fishing.  Thanks farmpond1 for coming with and enjoying the day with us.

Heres a picture of the Muskie I caught.

Thanks, that was my first muskie and it was some rush bringing that bad boy in!

I've only fished the spillway once.  It was pretty fun, but we were going for white bass.  I'm going to have to go down there again and see if I can tie into one of those!!!

Nice fish!

You guys are so lucky to have Muskie.  Nice fish!

i've always wanted to catch one of those.  and that's a nice one for sure.  congrats!

Thanks, bwell, for inviting me along.

It was a great time and the weather was perfect!  I was astounded that all of us caught a muskie.   How often does that happen?!!!  If I hadn't seen it myself, I might not have believed it!  The smallest fish was around 38 inches with the biggest being 45 (Matt's other buddy caught the biggest one).  I won't say what we caught them on but here's a hint:  It was a bait which some members of this forum have spoken of with contempt. ;)  Seriously! :)
