new PB and my 2010 best

Featured Replies

Caught this at a new local pond that is turning out to be full of 3+ pounders. Small pond about an acre with at least 1/2 completely covered in moss. caught it first time out with my new spro poppin frog. Weighed 4lbs 10ozs. My buddy caught a 5lbs 10oz 2 days later. I usually fish lakes but hit ponds during the week for a little confidence boost.  :D

Thanks. I just started back up fishing a couple years ago after a 10 year break after high school so i have a lot to learn. Was never too serious about it when younger but i'm as addicted as it gets now. Just need to convince the wife that its a necessary expenditure now  :D

Same here too. Younger I just go and fish. Then I got me a boat and got into other fishing likes cats and croakers. Then when broke down  I got into bass fishing a couple of years ago. Got to say I love but do miss the other fishing too. Anyways nice fish and same here as pudmuck I'm sit in the 4 lb range too. I love me some ponds. The ones in AP hill are very good size and I can get away with traveling my jon boat on top of car. I would think if went on a major road would get a ticket for it not sure though.

Or just copy and paste the last link available from your photobucket page.  Just put your cursor over the pic and it should drop down a list of links, get the last one.  Nice fish by the way.

Wow :D great fish! What was your retrieval method?

I was hopping on top of some crazy thick moss, had cleared it by like 10 feet and was actually reeling in my slack to bring it back in for a recast when she hit it. She hit right as i hit the end of my slack so luckily the hook set. Had to drage through a tone of moss and couldnt even see the fish when i got it to the boat. The whole pile wieghed like 20 lbs  :o Luckily i run 35lb braid on my frog setup  ;D

Nice bass!  Next time, take that picture with the sun behind the photographer, instead of behind you, and you should get a much better result.

Could be. We were weighing it on a cheap wal mart digital and didnt have any way to measure it. Gives me a reason to go out and spend some more money on a scale  ;D
