Big skinny girl..

Featured Replies

Kinda wish this one looked more like the girl behind the tequila glass!  She was 23 inches long and only 5.7lbs.  Caught it right off those rocks in the background, right on the ramp, 2nd cast of the day on a spinnerbait.

Ahhh, you like your girls a little thick too.  Don't worry, she'll fatten up in a couple months.

I caught one like that several years ago on a jig. It was in a small 30 acre lake that we were tagging fish with twist ties to see how many fish we were catching multiple times and if they were growing or not because some of the fish seemed really unhealthy. She was 23 inches long and about 5 1/2 lbs. That summer we took out a bunch of small fish and any that were skinny and unhealthy looking. I caught her again that fall and she was just over 7lbs. With the right management and some time she'll get heavy again.

Yeah I don't know what was up with this fish.  I have never caught one on this lake so skinny.  In fact, I am sometimes amazed at how fat the dinks are.  They look like little mini 10lbers!!  The fish here always seem healthy and fight hard, this one not so much, I think it was sick.

yeah...better stick with the day job. nice catch red, good thing he didn't bite on the 1st cast

fine fish bud.  always happy to see those bigguns no matter how they're shaped.

What were using as a trailer on that spinnerbait-  Crystal Meth? 'Cause that's what this bass looks like she's (otherwise) hooked on.  Either that or she's bulimic.  Time for some sort of intervention!
