    the new scouts are plastic but still seem to work fine Daviscw.  I have never used the old ones but the new ones are great.

    Thanks, they are plastic and have different properties than the wood ones, i AM GOING ALL WOOD AND THE ONE i HAVE LEFT IS TOTALED!

     I want to fish it, I am not a collector. I had one left, it is now too corroded and banged up to use
