Lunar Calender

Featured Replies

Does the lunar phases really effect how the bass feed???? I have been wondering if it would produce anymore bass or not.

I firmly believe that this system works to some extent. I used the ones from BASS Magazine and at times they seemed off by an hour. Either direction, before or after the times stated. So its not an exact science. Obviously for night fishing, its very accurate and will help your evening fishing.

I will be on my best fishing hole during prime time feeding cycles. I also will give the forecasters a little leeway on being off. Certainly not a time I want to be on plane.

I won Angler of the Year in one club and Runner up in another. I was on fish reguardless of lunar times. I dont search for fish in a tourney. Ive already found them.

I hope this helps. Im sure others have other opinions. Good Luck

Fatson, I find the bass eat at night on a full moon,Whenever I go out the morning after a full moon I get a few at best. It might just be me but I don't think so..... ???

I never pay attention to it, I 'm much more intersted in the weather conditions prior and the day I 'm going to be fishing than what the calendar is supposed to say, hundreds of times I 've fished when the calendar marked as poor and done a killing, weather is much more important than the phases of the moon.

thanks for all the input

I don't really know,  This is why...I have gone fishing when the bite is "suppose to be" off, but we caught LOTS of bass, and then when the bite is "suppose to be" hot....got SKUNKED.

So who knows how well it really works or not.

It has been my experience that you will catch the biggest fish on the new and full moon periods, but as for numbers of fish, it usually is low. Thats my thinking.    Reef
