I was recently at GREENTOP in Richmond, VA and I saw a video on this bait. So I searched until I found it and I purchased it. I like the way it looked on the video but then again there are a lot of baits out there that have good videos, but don't work so well. I was wondering what everyone's input was on this bait. I hope I didn't waste my money but then again I always waste some money on something hahaha. ;D

Every thread on this forum about jerkbaits recommends the X-Rap,

but I don't think many have tried the deeper running shad. We'll all

be interested to read your review.

Yes, those are good baits.  I've had good luck with those.  I just bought a handful of the short-lipped shallow version to try a little later this year.

I guess if the Deep X-Rap is as productive as the original, then it should be a killer bait.  I know I got on a couple good bites with the X-Rap.  I was able to catch a few over 5 on it.  I'm definately interested in your review

Pretty much what everyone else said. Have used X-Raps myself (and caught fish ;)). I think you done GOOD. Let us know...

The Deep Diving X-Rap and the X-Rap Shad are two different baits.   The bait he posted has been out for awhile.  It's an excellent bait.  You can fish it the same way as a X-rap.  It is also very effective used as a crank.

That is my favourite pike/walleye bait. I only use it during the spring in small coves. During the summer, it's grub season.

I have not caught a bass on it yet.

I swear by the Rapala X-raps, but have yet to spend any money on these deep diving ones.  I get worn out jerking the x-raps all day long and assume the deep divers might pull quite hard.

Would be interested in the feed back on how well they work from anyone who has used them.

Well all I can say is I hope the money is worth it, depending on the weather I may be leaving reviews on this bait by Tuesday night. But of course the one day I may actually be able to go fishing, its supposed to be rainy and nasty. But who knows maybe we will get lucky. ;)
