I use the Uncle Josh #11A pork trailers most of the time, but that's just a personal preference.

I also use twin-tail grubs, Zoom chunks, and Zoom baby craws.  If you really want to add some bulk to your jigs, put on a double-tail hula grub (skirt first).

Sweet Beavers, twin tail grubs, single tail grubs, soft plastic craws, soft plastic frogs, soft plastic trailers, anything but pork, in my hot dry climate pork dries in an eye blink turning into a crispy crisp piece of leather that 's almost impossible to remove from the hook.

I use pork in cold water and strike king 3x trailers or zoom super chunks when its warm. The 3x float and are garlic scent.

I Use Zoom Chunks and any brand of crawdad type lure, I also use a Senko for swimming a jig. I gotta try that hula grub idea.

I use Unlce Josh trailers when the water is 55 deg or colder.  After that I use scented plastics for trailers.

Zoom Super Chunk Jr when Jerking (Violent retrieve)

Zoom Big Salty Chunk for a slower presentation or cooler water temps

Zoom Salty Pro Chunk is what I have on my Jigs now...It has a little bulk but yet has great tails for swimming action...

I use Zoom chunks.

I tried the pork in a tournament last weekend and I could not get the hook through the leather.

Any suggestions, other than drilling a hole in the pork before leaving home?

Thanks.

Really!!! I've had the same problem, and if I manage to get it on, it never comes back off with out cutting it!

I stopped using pork when I found Zoom Trailers.

I was a non boater in a Federation Tourney and my boater was using them...He threw the used ones on the floor and said use them so I did and won't go back to pork...

I was loosing fish on pork and realized that the pork was turning around and the hook point was trying to bury in the pork and not the fish....

5/8 Assault King, Black with red, tipped with an all black brush hog.  Big bait?  You bet, but it gets the job done!
