No love for the G-Splash?

'What is your favorite topwater' is a fairly common topic here. The G-Splash doesn't get much press and I'm curious as to why? Did Lucky Craft swing and miss with this one; perhaps a foul tip?

I've bought several of these baits, in both sizes, over the last few months, but I won't be able to give them a go until we thaw out.

I catch tons of fish on these! It is more of a finesse popper.

It's a good popper, but I've done better with the Yellow Magic and the Excalibur Zell Rowland popper.

Those are the other two I fish. ;) G-splash works best for me in clear calm conditions where I want it to split and not pop.

you are  going to get a wide aray of responses on this one.mostly because of where they live, and what type of top water lure works for them.I think the g-splash 80 is one of the best poppers out there.where the 65 is just ok.I think there is better choices out there for poppers that size.Like I said, not knocking the 65,I use them alot.but, for the money, there are better ones out there.

Sorry I can't post any comments on the lucky craft.I have never used one. I haven't been able to find any reason to sway away from Lobina Ricos.

Love my Ricos, never tried a G-Splash.

g-splash is more of a chugbug type bait than a pop-r type bait.

fish love 'em all year round here.

The G-Splash is one of my top 3 producing lures. Take it how you want ;D

Ricos and Splash its are all I use

I think you don't hear much about it, because for the money, there are much better "walking" poppers.  I had a few of the G-Splashes and higher end baits like the Rico, Yellow Magic, and Hydro Splash all walk much smoother.

I made the switch to the lucky craft Gunfish and never looked back.
