My favorite would have too be a super fluke.Although lately I have had some trouble catching very many good fish on them.On one of the private lakes that I have been fishing the fish have started suspending alot.Im looking for some good ideas to catching larger suspending fish.Im fishing in East Texas.

I like the Super Fluke as well.  I have also been throwing a wacky rigged dinger/senko lately.

Drop Shot. it works wonders. the plastic bait just hovers in front of their faces. i like tubes on the drop shot.

Suspending jerkbaits, they will work all year just watch Kevin VanDam. In the lower light conditions also try some topwater. Some tournaments are won when their are suspending bass by throwing spooks or chuggers with feathers on the back hook and just letting the lure sit motionless for 2-5 minutes.

suspended fish are not in a feeding mode, you need to play on their instincts. a speedy retrieve will sometimes get them to instinctively chase your offering.

        Suspending Jerk baits! Invest in a Luckycraft Pointer. I got one and it was well worth it. When they are suspending deaper I use a Rapala Deep Husky Jerk. Work them slowly.  

Hard to beat a good crankbait for me.  Unless they are suspended around alot of cover, then I'm pitching something that they can hit on the fall with alot of movement like a brushawg.

Fishing jerkbaits is my favorite technique. I think suspended bass are the hardest fish to catch. Getting their attention and possibly a reaction strike is about all that usually works, but I have had inactive fish, smallmouth, largemouth, Kentucky and walley absolutely annihilate a jerkbait. I throw Lucky Craft Pointers, Smithwick Rogues and Rapala Husky Jerks.

I also would have to go with a jerkbait or a spinnerbait.

I like to use the countdown method with a Rat-L-Trap to get a reaction strike.

I agree with shellback, a ratltrap is hard to beat for suspended bass

The fluke has definitely been a good lure for me also...but with suspended fish, I have also had a lot of luck using the Zoom Brushhog...wheter it be when it is falling to the bottem or slowly reeling it in, I get hits....

I havent experienced using topwaters,spinners or rat-l-traps that much.

i would also have to go with the suspended jerkbait.  the trick that they told in bassmaster magazine really works well with suspended bass, except i use them on a lucky craft lure.  get the lucky craft slender pointer.  the larger version.  my preference is the bone colred one.  and drill 2 or 3 small holes in the top of the bait near the front.  caution, i and not accountable for you breakin your lures.  it takes practice to find the right balance.  thats why i practiced on lures i got from the dollar bin at sports authority until i got it right.  this only works on plastic bodied baits, not the wooden ones.  but yeah, drill the holes in the head, and then cast it out, give it a few seconds to fill with water, the jerkbait will fall SUPER slow with a killer action identical to a senko, then give it a few quick jerks and kill it.  suspended bass will be all over it.  another alternative is the smithwick super rogue.  drill into that one for the same action

Several Ozark fellas have fished the "Holey Rogue"for years.  Drill out a 1/8 to 1/4 inch hole in the throat of even a floater model, and you can fish this rascal as deep as yo have the patience to.  I don't think it wiggles as good, but sometimes that's the way the bass want it. All your shot falls out by the way.

I intentionally overweight suspending Rogues with very good results when I need to fish 10-15 feet deep in winter. I get a sink rate of about two inches per second, and this makes a big diference at least to me.

I have found that a crankbait that is disigned for ripping in great for suspended bass. Crank that sucker as fast as you can go and if it gets down to the depth the fish are at the look out.

I burn mostly Bomber model A's and 2A's. The best thing for you to do is take out you crankbaits and try each of them out. Some will run straight at high speeds but others will start to go in go in circles and all the tuning in the world won't help them. The lure companies are starting to come out with crankbaits specifically designed for burning but I, for the life of me, can't remember the names of them. I own about six of them but I am just drawing a blank.
