ok i was fishing today and i caught 9 fish a 9.5incher 4 10 inchers 3 11 inchers and a nice 12 incher. i caught them all on a baby bass colored kinami. here is my problem they all got preety torn up after only like 2 or 3 fish is this normal for a plastic bait. i need more worms i am heading out tomorrow for an outing but i will go by my bait shop first so what bait should i get. i was fishing the kinamis by casting them just in front of the pads letting them sink and then thats how i got all my fish. so i need a bait that is more durable and that i could fish the same way. should i get senkos or what? any help would be greatly apreciatted thanks

Two or three fish I guess that is close to the standard.  The salt will cause the baits to rip a little easier.  Try using an o-ring on the baits and put the hook through the o-ring not the bait...

Or you can pick up some super glue and use it to fix the tears and breaks. This usually helps with the problem.

You can buy Tiki Stiks @ K-Mart for less than half the price of Knamis, they look pretty much the same and are much more durable.

yea..grab some tiki sticks...or see if maybe your local bait shop sells some molded senko ripoffs... the bait shop by me does, and i like them better then tiki's... same price tho.  senkos are expensive and tear easier then most plastics(they do work good tho)

I'm on board with the Tiki Sticks too! If I'm rigging them Texas style I prefer the Bamboo Sticks, Wacky rigging I'd go with the Tiki Sticks.

The Yum dingers are real good. You get more for the same price.

I've heard the Yum Dingers and Bass Pro Shop's Stick O's are good too!

    Yum Dingers seem to be fairly durable. They dont cost that much. You can rig the stickbait backwards when the front tears. You can also heat a nife and melt them back together. Hope that helps.

I don't judge a lure, particularly soft plastics, by it's durability, but by how well it helps me catch fish. I fish mostly Yamamoto soft plastics, the Kanami is a Senko marketed by Gary's son. One or two bass per bait is about all you can expect, sometimes more but usually just one for me.

I have been having success with Roboworms, T-rigged, lately. This is a durable and effective worm you might want to try. Another Yamamoto worm that works well is the Kut-Tail, either T-rigged or fished on a jig head.

BTW, Lures that look alike do not necessarily perform alike. Rate of fall, action, profile, texture, scent and taste all contribute to a bait's effectiveness. I have a lot of confidence in GYCB products.

Strike King 3X Zero on a Mister Twister Keeper hook. This will last a long long time. The Zero is a Senko shaped worm made with "Cyberflexx" plasitics.

Ok, I've seen the 3X Zeros in stores but have been hesitant to pick them up because the other 3X series I've tried float. Do the Zeros float? Do you add nails for weight to get them to sink? Let me know.

key word here is kinami.  that is a no no no.  way to expensive, and they rip in like one bite.  i tear them up just castin them.  here are you alternitives for senkos.  yum dingers, tiki stiks, edge worms, z-nail.  but please not kinamis or senkos.  you welcom to buy whatever you want, but they really tear up easy.

and i have tiki stiks but they are like 8 bucks a pack! wal mart and sports athourity none of the stores that have low prices have good baits and the stores with high prices have good brands but not the right baits of the good brands

I don't normally get too hung up on soft plastic durability issues. Like Roadwarrior I tend to lean heavier on the action and fish catching ability of the bait when making my purchases. I'm planning on going through a bunch of whatever I'm fishing if the bass are hammering them. That said, I'll also agree with Senko77. My experience with Kinami baits is that they are the wimpiest, least durable soft plastic I've ever run across. If I felt they were superior to their peers in the fish catching department I'd fish them anyway and just deal with the fact that simply putting them on the hook is the beginning of the end for them. Unfortunately for Kinami that is not the case and I've crossed them off my list of brands that I buy and even ended up giving the seven or so bags that I had to a fishing buddy that was just starting out and needed some lures. I'm pretty much sold on Yamamoto and Zoom baits. Speaking of which, it's about time to restock on the Yamamoto single tail Hula grub...that thing is so deadly on Maine smallmouth that is should be illegal.
