Any suggestions for keeping the hands warm when worm fishing?  3 tournaments still to come and 2 are in Dec.  I have used golf/batting glove with the thumb cut off.  Most gloves are too bulky.

Try scuba diving gloves. They are kind of expensive but would work.

neoprene gloves work good or wool that have a mitten that you pull over your cut off fingerless gloves when your not fishing. They use them for hunting and the mitten part Velcro's to the back when your not using it. (I hope I explained good enough to understand) ???

I use the fingerless wool gloves that has a flap,that folds over and turns them into mittens.The thumb on those are covered,and you can still thumb the spool with them. I pitched all winter with them on. Just like anything else,it just takes some getting used to. A buddy of mine uses those waterproof gloves and sticks the handwarmers in them.Speaking of winter gear, I saw at a local Wal-Mart that they were selling Heated insoles for boots. Have not tried them yet, but i will soon.

I have used both the wool finger cut off with mitten and glacier gloves.

Be careful when/if you use wool gloves that have no grip on the inside. I just about rod and reel in the lake a few weeks ago while trying to cast. :  I use Golf gloves now - Weather Joys - made for golfing in the winter or the rain.

We had this topic running a few weeks ago and LBH recommended Seal Skinz Gloves.

I just got this gloves called Glacier Gloves and wow they kick butt!! They have a thumb andi index finger thing where you can stick it out and velcro it. Do a google search on em.

There is a surgical glove that you can get at your local pharmacy. I wear them under the gloves that I will use. They not only keep my hands dry, they will keep them warm.. My hands sweat , but they don't get cold enough to hender my fishing. .And I don't have to cut the ends out. It's almost like having a natural feel. My wife's idea, and a good one at that.

The surgical gloves I have at work.  The others mentioned, where do I find these above mentioned suggestions.   Really interested in the seal skins and golf gloves by Weather Joy.

Back in the 70's, I hunted with Javelina gloves, very thin, but very warm.  I only found those the one time.  

Justtrying, Should I be looking for a tank top instead?  LOL!!!!

I saw some gloves at Wal-mart this weekend that were made by Rocky, they were deer skin with thinsulate insulation, they weren't real thick and they were waterproof.

I have some neopreen gloves that I use for putting out and picking up duck decoys, they keep your hands dry, but not very warm.

I also use the glo-mitt it's a fingerless glove with a pull over mitt and a slot to stick your thumb out of, you can stick a hot hands hand warmer in the mitt part. It will give you some temporary relief, just pull the mitt down over your fingers and rub the hot hands warmer for a bit.

You might also try a fleece handwarmer that buckles around your waist and has a pocket to put a hot hands warmer in, gives you a little temporary relief also, just stick your hands in the ends and rub on the hot hands warmer.    

Some of you more gifted guys with the computer get some pics up on here of gloves it would be great to see what you guys use.  I have just use the wool with the flap and the fingers cut out with the tube still in place. I would like to see some of these better gloves though.

Although I don't have that problem often down here in the land of the oven hot sun,when I do I use the fingerless gloves/mittens.They are warm.

I am a contractor and use IronClad or CLC high dexterity work gloves for woodworking.  They are thin and sensitive enough that I can pick up small screws and nails.  I have been using them for fishing too.  They run about $20 at Home Depot.  I don't think you will be able to tie intricate knots with them on but I can tie a simple palomar with no problem.  They also have fingerless models.....
