Featured Replies

How well would Wire cable ties work for Wacky Rigged Senko baits. Attached is a French Fry bait with a wire cable tie as reference. Think it would work?

I think the hard plastic would cut them being they are tight around it

i know a lot of guys who wacky rig with ewg hooks including me.it works great.

I wasnt trying to say it was wrong, just comical to me. My thing is why use a hook that is more expensive than a octopus  when its prone to being hung up.

anyway to use the o-ring and ewg and making it weedless at the same time?  just wondering, cause like an idiot i was catching fish on a senko this past tournament i was in and forgot to try wacky rig (probably would have caught more bass).  but i like the idea of ewg hooks but where i was fishing was all reeds and garbage.  just wondering for future reference.

I posted here last year of using Goodies for Senkos. They work fine and are real cheap. I posted pictures of how I used them too. If interested, you can do a search on my posts. If you can't find it, I'll try to re-post if necessary.

I work for a machine shop so this is a no-brainer for me.

5/16 or 8MM I.D. rubber O-Rings work great and I haven't had any problems yet. Any good hardware store will have them. Wet bait and O-Ring and slowly slide on from small end until it's centered. Go ahead and use you favorite hook as this rig is inherently weedless but for heavy cover try these:

I do this for all my wacky senko rigging it saves my senkos and i seem to actually catch the same amount of fish. I thought me and my friends were the only ones who did this apparently not. It really does work but its better with the 5inch senkos  8-)

I usually t-rig my senkos weightless and when I can't glue them back together anymore or they are just too chewed up I wacky rig them.

More miles per gallon!  ;)

x2  When T-riggin I also rig it backwards after the front rips. The fish eat it either way. 8-)

Just wondering if anyone has tried bread wire ties.  They come in many colors, no cost, but curious how well they would hold up.  Not my idea, ran across it in another forum...
