Do ya'll know anything about the Texas Department of Natural Resources?

I'm fishing with flechero at Lake Fork and although I haven't seen his boat, I suspect his live well is "normal" size.

So, I was wondering if we could get the wild life agents to come out on the lake and pick up our Share Lunkers. I doubt if we can hold more than three at a time and I would hate to have to come back to the dock for lunch.

Any ideas?

RW, most marinas around Texas have the cell phone # as well as the land line # to contact the Share-A-Lunker Program. I would suggest y'all ask at the marina where y'all will be staying they should have all the info.

Or better yet shoot Tom_Redington an Email

The Shimano live release boat will be on the lake to releive all livewell limitations.  Hail them on VHF ch. 16 or through the minnow bucket.

Catt, did you know,...we have an Avid!

Avid has compiled a list of numbers that everyone is asked to KEEP ON THEM during the trip.  On said list is the RW hotline, I mean, sharelunker number.

:)

Well come to find out avid is good for something

Y'all may teach him something after all and who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks!

I don't know if Avid offered this, but here's a link to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department if anyone wants it:

I just thought some of you might want to do some research on the Sharelunker program or maybe utilize any other information here. There's also a link to the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center in Athens (within an hour's drive). Somewhere in the "Fishing" section is an acrobat file with the state fishing and hunting handbook.

Man I wish I could get away that week!! :( Good luck to all of you!! 8-)

Actually, RW, it is a "Texas size"  livewell and is outfitted with a 2nd  aerator system, in case it gets crowded.  ...lol  As long as you catch 13-14 lb fish we can hold 4.  If you start trying to add 15lb+ fish we might call TPWD after just 2.   ...lol

I don't anticipate any trouble though, I can assure you that by the time you set the 2nd SAL in the livewell, I will be hunting the camera and something to toast with.     ;)  We might need a break for photos by then.

Can't wait!

Could have, but we've been running most of the "Fork" talk in General. Plus, this thread is just for fun, a fishing joke...maybe "Everything Else?"

You don't really think I'm concerned about catching too many Share Lunkers, do you?

RW,

I'm really hoping that you have to call for an assist!!  I'd be honored to lip one for you!
