Is it just me, or did this function disappear from the site? I enjoyed being able to see at a glance what members were yakin about. Just curious???

Yes, it seems to me like 2 or 3 things are missing...

(off topic, did you start wrapping the swimbait rod yet?  I stealth wrapped mine- no artistic inspiration yesterday!)

Glenn has been doing alot of things to help the speed up the site. This may or may not be one of them. You might also notice that your mailboxes store fewer messages also.

Not yet, have had a few emergencies come up this last week. I really want to set aside some time for it. Could be months...LOL

click on the persons name.  Brings you to their profile.  At very bottom, you can call up last 5,10,15 or 50 posts. ;)

I believe they're referring to the link at the bottum of the main page where one could see the last 10 posts of the entire forum, not an individual.

I did notice that, I had a bunch of stuff saved and then logged in one day and bam... lost a bunch of people's contact info and some other tips and stuff. :(

A day's notice would have REALLY helped on that one so I could have printed out instead of lost.

LBH,

Ronnie was talking about the last 10 from the forums main page where it also has like newest member and stuff.

I understand how advance notice would be nice.

But I think that speeding up the site has to be the number one priority.  the future of the site will be impacted by this, so some changes, and sacrifices to speed things up are necessary.

I have noticed that on foxfire It is definitly faster, but I'm sure Glenn is experimenting with differennt fixes.

Sometimes he may not know if an attempt he makes will work or not, so an advance notice would be sort of a moot point.

I can only imagine the headaches that go into running a site this robust.

I'm a lifer no matter what, but I understand that the younger new bassers looking for a website to hang out on will insist on speed.

If the site bogs down too often, we will lose active members.  It's as simple as that.

Even when working the last time I tried to pull up Avid's last 10 posts  Eight of them had been pulled or censored by the Mods any way

oooooooooooooooh  you a baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad mook.
