Swim jigs

Featured Replies

I've had some success with the Booyah, but I haven't tried any other brand.  But I would recommend the Booyah.

Outkast Tackle has some real nice ones. ;)

I use primarily Booyah and strike king, but i think color selection and trailer selection are more important.

No doubt it is the Lethal Weapon II from www.customlures.net (Scott Gardner) ... Tom Monsoor spends many hours a week in this shop as I see him in there all the time and Tom Monsoor is what made swim jigs known because of his success with them on the FLW Tour and Karen Savik is the traveling partner of Tom as well.

I make my own based off of Scott's head design.

Take care,

Steve

X2. Like the flatter head and rattles.

I like the Outkast swim jig, it has doublebarb keeper to hold your trailer.

Very good swim jigs, I have caught hundreds of bass on them in the Mississippi River.  Another good one is made by Hutch's Lures.  These are both made by the people where the swim jig concept was invented/discovered.  I personally think the Booyah's are junk.  The REAL Monsoor swim jigs are very good, but the Bass Pro version are fair.  The key is in the hook and the weedguard must be very flexible.  Choice of trailer is important also.
