Big Problem

Featured Replies

I have found this one pond that i want to fish but i dont know how to start the pond is seriously gin clear and the bottom of the whole pond is coverd in thick moss and weeds that even when i throw texas rigged or weedless anything the moss sticks to it please help i dont know what to do and i know there are some lunkers in that pond.

Try a topwater in the morning, or late in the afternoon.  Next try a fluke or a shallow crankbait and spinnerbait.  Keep trying, if it has fish in it something should work.

Try burning a spinnerbait.  In really clear water you do not want the fish to get a really good look at your bait.

Try a carolina rig with a floating worm.Give yourself enough leader between the weight and the swivel to keep the worm just above the moss as you call it.

I call it scum or snot grass.

Weightless worms:senkos, trickworms, finesse worms, flukes,GYCG kut tail worms.Stuff that will sit on it without gooshing down into it.Use light or natural colors, watermelon, greens, browns, pumkinseed.

One of my other secrets is to texas rig a worm with a 1/32 or even 1/64 bullet weight,if you got a rod that can cast something that light.

Topwaters, spinnerbaits, shallow cranks, rattle traps, floating jerkbaits.Get a good idea how deep the water is and how deep you can go until you hit the "stuff".

even try a drop shot. just make sure your distance between the weight and bait will let the bait be above the weeds

i agree with RW, try a creature weightless.....that has one of the slowest falls out their

just lift it til it breaks the top of the water and let it fall about an inch from the bottom, youll be good

also, try Topwater, your lucky, if its a small pond, topwater is the best!
