where do you guys catch the monster bass? off docks, or in a boat, or just off shore? thanks

I wouldn't say that a boat doesn't make a difference.  Wouldn't it more depend on the pattern the fish are on?  If the fish are holding in deep water a shore fisherman (such as myself) may not be able to fish that deep.

I know on KY lake in the summer when the "ledge bite" is on I have a heck of a time catching bass during the day (I do have good early morning luck though).  However, part of that can be attributed to my inability as an angler.

cj, well im in wisconsin so the bass arent like giant, but a 5 pounder would be a start cuz im just catching 2 pounders at the biggest and i see pics of you guys holding monsters and it drives me nuts lol
