Wallet reference card

Featured Replies

I have this wallet reference card that gives an approximate weight for a specific length of fish.

On the front it has Largemouth and Crappie, on the back it has Walleye and Northern. It was given to me years ago and I am unable to find anything similar to replace it.

Has anyone seen these before, and if so where can they be found?

Northland does not make them anymore.

Excuse the crappy pic, but the card is almost as fuzzy as the pic shows.

Thanks-John

I have that reference card. I have no idea where you can find another (I don't even know where I got mine :-/). Sorry, I'm not much help to you.

Although, here are some links for you to check out:

It says on there website: "A handy length to weight conversion scale also gives the weight of Crappie, Bass, Walleye & Northern Pike."

Good luck!

I don't know about those cards. But there are many length-weight tables, such as this one for New York:

You could always write down or type out the information you want on a small piece of paper and have it laminated to carry with you.

Thanks but as you can tell the wallet size never has been where I'm not!!!!!

If at the worst I will have to "make one"  ;)

My cell phone actually has a weight calculator on it.  I put in the girth and the length and it tells me the weight.  It also has a fish log and weather report.  It will tell me when lightning hits and how far it is away.  Not exactly the same thing but may help some.

Marty those #'s are almost Identical to what I have I'll try to copy and resize for a wallet card.......Unless we find one somewhere else.

Thanks :)

What about a digital scale? Twenty bucks, and you won't have to estimate.

I got one of those last year in a pack of Northland baits (Slurpies shiners I think)...

My thoughts as well....  just about every time someone post a pic of a good fish a quotes a chart for weight, people point out that most charts are way off.  Scales are cheap, small and light weight...  no excuse for not carrying one these days.  My old Normark digi will fit in my back pocket.

I have the same card as well... I got it a long time ago, but it is still in excellent condition. Photocopy the card and laminate it in plastic.
