We have had 3 days of almost consistant rain. went out fishing caught 2 bass. I was using a 3 inch brush hog black with red fleck. What are some for your favorite lures to use after this time?

After a good rain (maybe not as long as yours, tho...) I like to get up under the brush with a red & black 4" worm t-rigged and try to run it off the bank if I can.  I think it makes it look like an earthworm.  Whether the bass think this or not, I dunno, but I haven't had the same kind of success with this presentation when its been dry.

I use Jigs in brush - That seems to be the best thing that works for me when i can find brush or laydowns on my lake .

Just add a rattle if the water is all muddy from the rain!

I am guessing it is fairly muddy? I would probably fish a jig tight to cover. I would also go with lures that displace water/noisy.

Find where water is flowing into the lake/pond and fish it with whatever I have tied on.  The feeding bass will move up there to eat whatever the water washes in.  The bait doesn't seem to matter, draggin jigs, spinnerbaits, cranks, etc.  It all works.

I fish small ponds from shore so you big water fishermen may have differing tactics.

Go to the nearest creek channel. Find any type of point jutting into the channel and chuck a swimbait, crankbait, spinnerbait, and then if they still aren't hitting go back with a jig or soft plastic. Thats my tactic after a rain.

I like to find where there is runoff into the lake and fish there.  If it is muddy I will use baits that are easier to locate and move more water

Ill second that. I catch huge smallies where brooks dump into the lake and deposit whatever morsels they've picked up along the way. Occasionally ill get a fat brown or brookie too.
