In-Fisherman handbook of strategies; Largemouth Bass

Featured Replies

Anyone ever read this book? Even though it was published in 1990, in general everything still applies today besides maybe some specific lure techniques and innovation.

Great overall bass book!

Haven't read it but I will now.  Being a big bass guy as opposed to numbers, my favorite book so far is "In Pursuit of giant bass" By Bill Murphy.  Great stuff.

I own it and have read it cover to cover on more than one occasion.

It's a great book.  Most of the In-Fisherman handbooks are high quality.

The first edition published in 1990 is still in my library.

The DNA of bass eggs has remain unchanged,

so the 'Where' and 'When' still apply today.

The 'How' also remains basically sound but many of the methods are quite antiquated.

I'm sure even Al would admit that he's doing things a lot differently today.

Yes, this has become my Bible, I still refer back to it.

This is an excellent book. In addition to this book, I would add Critical Concepts 2: Largemouth Bass Location. It expands on the location information in the 1990 Largemouth Bass book. I believe the locations book was published in 2005 but I could be off by a year or two.

Great book!

I kind of abondoned the In-Fisherman brand when the Lindners left, but after going back through some of the In-Fisherman magazines, it's still a good magazine.

The Angling Edge videos and TV show is good too.

I read that book a while (10+ years) ago.  Your post reminded me that I loaned or traded it to some one for some thing.  I want it back.  At some point I'll remember who I loaned or traded it to.
