That's neat. I read of something similar years ago. A farmer would bang on a steel rod that was in the ground next to his pond, then hold nightcrawlers at the surface and a bass would come up and eat them out of his hand.

Only proves bass can be conditioned, if the reward is food.

Dude i used to have 3 pet bass in my 100 gallon pond in the front yard and those guys are AWESOME.They bullied the koi and ate worms from my hand and everything.Sadly mr fat racoon visited about 7 times and got them all.Now i only have 2 bluegill in there and 3 1 or 2 inch bluegill in my fish tank.They are such cool pets but they dont start eating for about 2 weeks after u first got them

If they can learn we aren't gonna hurt em and take food from our hands then I'm sure they can call out a lure when they see it a few times....thats booyah...oh nice ratl trap...lucky craft...guy spent 20 on that..isn't it pretty..

My buddy use has a pound similar to the one using the worms only they were small mouth and he used grasshoppers. All i know is fish get HUGE when they eat like that.
