need fishing tips

Featured Replies

hey guys, im new to bass fishing and i am fishing at a kinda dirty and kinda clear lake with some grass and rocks.  what should i do to catch more fish?

A good place to start is the fishing articles on here.  Ton of good info for a beginner.  Then get out on the water and apply what you've read.

Don't go out and buy all of the expensive stuff at first get the basics.

You want this to be fun there are a lot of great people here with a lot of great info.

Will you be fishing from the bank or from a boat?

Learn how to throw plastics and crankbaits. That is where I would start.

thnx for the tips. i am fishing from shore.  I have read lots of articles on this site from using jigs to spinnerbaits and such.  But reading and actually fishing are two different things.  So how can I improve my fishing?  Are their other ways to do something different that would attract bass better? let me know alright

This is a greatly detailed thread make sure you have pen and paper handy you will definitely learn something here!!

Good luck be safe and have fun.

Maybe this will help:

+ 1.  Do what the above articles says and you WILL catch fish.  It will make you love bass fishing.  I know lots of ppl will tell you spinnerbaits, buzzbaits, etc.  Those work when fish is aggressive, but that is not always the case.  I have had better and consistent success with worms/senkos!!
