Picking apart a brain

Featured Replies

If you could sit and pick someone apart about all of their vast fishing knowledge, who would it or they be? 1. Biffle for his knowledge of flipping and shallow water. 2. Faircloth for his knowledge of Rayburn 3. Velvick for swimbait stratagies 4. Elias for cranks and c rigging tips.

Chuck Woolery ;)

Is that a tongue in cheek response or for serious ?

I've heard he's actually a fairly knowledgeable fisherman (forget about the MotoLure for now)  ;)

Billy Nicar or Mike Ostrander.

I do this very often.  ;D

Larry Nixon on every technique, Denny Brauer on Flipping and jigs.

The old chinese guy who fishes at Pratts Wayne woods every morning.  Ive never seen a happier guy in my life.

They talk to me all the time i have most of there video's to watch all winter when i browse the catalogs too.

When watching there video's, listen but watch how they work the rod/reel too with the bait there using.  We can learn alot if we pay close attention.

Yeah, I was absolutely kidding about ol Chuck. My real answer would be any of the Lindner clan.

Jesus Christ. he spent alot  of time with professional fisherman. He even told them where to cast.

;)

Guy Eaker.  That fella, at 70 years old amazes me.  The first question I would ask is,  How have you kept the passion,  focus and physical stamina for so long ?

I would say Steve Daniel. When he did the Day on the Lake on ESPN, Tommy Saunders called him "the Teacher" and he is. When we fish together, sometimes I just stop what I am doing and watch and absorb. He is so willing to share his knowledge. He is a guide at Roland's now at Clewiston @ Okeechobee and if you want to catch fish and learn something in the process look him up there.

Doug Stange and Al Linder (as long as he doesnt talk about JC)

Gord Pyzer, Doug Stange or Al Lindner.

Bill Siemantle, Mike Long, Butch Brown, Gary Dobyns and Skeete Reese are my top 5.

Houston, Parker, VanDam and Ike.

If nothing else the jokes between Houston and Parker would be worth the price of admission.

Ike is sensational when teaching or in seminars and of course VanDam is the greatest.  :)
