I think its secret code for I used a walleye lure and caught a bass. Used a Bass lure and caught nothing. What should I use?

Well if you are catching bass on a walleye lure, you should probably use a walleye lure.

Dark colored plastics, Dark colored jigs, Crawfish colored Crankbaits are a good start in the fall. Fish shallow 0 to 10 ft and slow is also a good start.

Keeping your rod, $70 worth of lures and not being hit in the head by a tree limb is a good start to the fall.

Sometimes it's tuff man , hang in there , I'm sure you will be able to find another crawfish color crankbait if you look real hard !!!

Spinnerbaits, jerkbaits, crankbaits (suspending), jigs, flukes, tubes.... All these work in the fall... Heck, anything works in the fall. Pre-spawn and fall (late fall, right before it gets REALLY cold) are my favorite times to fish because they usually hit anything.

If you aren't catching, slow down, keep the colors dark, unless it's a really clear water, then go lighter and more natural.

Thanks.  LMAO. Maybe he will catch a couple 8 pounders after goin through that mess.

Follow the wind.  I look for pockets that have wind blowing into them and then look for shad.  If shad are in there, most likely there are bass somewhere close.  My main lure during the fall is sometype of lipless crankbait.  I use rat l traps, super spots, and redeye shads.

Try a senko

follow the baitfish and match the hatch. if your fishing a cold front fish softplastics and jigs. if the weather is stable crankbaits are perfect. if you dont know where to find baitfish bluffs and cliffs that are adjustant to deep water is a great place to find fall bass. jigs work great for bluffs. as the water drops to the low 40s the fish will go deeper and slow down.

Start of fall I'm fishing lipless crankbaits and flat side cranbaits. I'll also fish a spinner bait and swim jigs.

Keep it moving

Been absolutely killin' 'em this fall at my favorite pond with the 1 oz. Rat-L-Trap, chrome, especially the black back, although sometimes they prefer the blue back. Just been chuckin' it out into the middle and burning it back with a low rod tip position.

I like topwaters and cranks.
