I do apologize,  guess I should of gave the pond condition too, was in a bit of a hurry to post.

visibility isn't that great, murky water I guess you can say,  haven't checked yet how the weeds are,  but usually a TON of weeds.

WRB - yes SoCal,  the place I am talking about is in a decent neighborhood      As for bass prey,  blue gills and little fry,  occasionally I'll see a crawdad close to shore but don't see many...

I would try a slip shot Yamamoto 4" twin tail Hula grub, 3/0 off set hook to keep the grub in place and 3/16 oz bullet weight and small round BB shot about 2' above the hook. This is a finesse C-rig that should work in your pond. Color; green w/red, black, purple flake. The other option would be a jointed J13 Rapala in fire tiger, good pond lure.

Small soft plastic, light line, spinning rods, finesse fishing at its finest. In highly pressured lakes, ponds, etc. Finesse fishing will catch the inactive fish.
