Japanese Bass fishing techniques

Featured Replies

Seiji Kato was created more than the flick shake lures and such, he was the inventor of the daiwa minnow jerkbait and the lucky craft pointer.  Two lures that we don't think much about.  Japanese lures just like any other lures have their place and time.  My preference is any lure as long as I LIKE IT ;D

If anything made by Gary Yamamoto counts, then I guess i could say i use alot a Japanese lures.

Unless Page, AZ got moved to Japan, that's a "no, you don't." They're American made baits, as evidenced by the little USA flag on the package.

;)

Yes and this might help with just Seiji Kato's baits. http://www.seijilures.com/biography.html

Thank you for sharing Seiji's background, impressive list of lures! The TD Minnow was a hot item along with the Michael popper out west in late 80's and  early 90's.

Is anyone using a Tubo rig yet?

Read the Article in FLW mag a couple years ago when I was getting an oil change at Walmart one morning.  Neat idea on the setup.  Don't know if I "Need" one though.

Ill try anything reasonable.  I like the idea of the X worms for wacky rigging. But as far as I have seen they are 2 6" worms and together thats a big bait to present.
