Hey all, my name is Jon, i am a 20 year old college student in sacramento. i am completely new to the fishing scene, i have been out about 10 times now using a family members wal-mart special shakespeare combo.

I have learned through some friends about texas and wacky rigging, and i mostly fish with senko worms.

I am most likely going to join a club soon, and am just excited to learn more and more about my new hobby.

I have been fishing mostly ponds and i have gone to Folsom lake once.

i am considering fishing on the american/sacramento river soon, and any tips on river fishing would be greatly appreciated.
