Newbie needed help with weather/bass??

Featured Replies

Would i be wasting my time going bass fishing with a forcast for this weekend like this:

Rain chances will remain above-normal through the weekend as we stay situated between high pressure centers to our east and west. Look for daily rain chances to run around 50%, with highs near 90°. A somewhat unsettled weather pattern is expected to continue.

Pressure was at 30.18 yesterday, and now it is at 30.08 and rising.....

**Gass is soooo expensive i hate to spent it if my chances of catching fish arent that good! HELP ME OUT PLEASE!!

I don't know, but if I depended on the weather forcast

around here I wouldn't get in much fishing! I suggest:

Plan for the worst and hope for the best. Go fishing!

8-)

I love to fish in the rain, especially if it's a nice warm rain. Go for it:o)

I say go fishing. It has rained at least 4 times a week for the last few months here in Northern Virginia. I am not letting the rain stop me from enjoying my time fishing. I go out before it rains, during the rain and after the rain.

Here it is in a nutshell.

GO FISHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you start worrying about the weather and gas prices you're going to miss a lot of good times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been known to call out work sick when it rains to go fishing. I think barometric pressure is a good base for tactic but a rain or overcast condition has a lot more to do with pattern than barometric pressure.  I could be wrong just my $.02

My bet is, you'll catch more fish if you go than if you don't!    :D

some of my best fishing has been before a rain or during the rain.

Go for it and have fun.

Go enjoy your weekend. The only thing that will absolutely drive me off the water is Lightening. Keep an eye out and enjoy.

Fishfordollars hit it. If there isn't lightning, it's fine.

If I depended on the weather this year, I probably wouldn't fish at all. So far this season, I've fished in rain, snow, and fog. That's why I have good rain gear.

Go for it, and have fun.

I've heard if your bait aint wet you will not catch anything  ;)

Welcome to the board jlp, and sounds like the weather pattern you are referring to is not bad at all. The chance for rain, raining etc. is not a bad thing and as long as the rains are not extremely cold over an extended time frame. Just avoid lightening, wind etc. and you will be fine.
