Pointer 100 vs Vision 110

Featured Replies

To those of you who have fished both of these, do you think the Megabass Vision 110 is worth the extra money compared to a LC Pointer 100? I have been fishing the Pointers for a few years now and really like them. I am in need of a couple new ones, and have been considering getting some Vision 110's but not sure worth $10 more than a Pointer 100.

Thanks guys,

Jason

I don't think so but if you already have several pointers you should pick up one?

I don't think so, either.  I have several and they don't impress me $25 worth.

completely diffirent bait.Hard o beat a lc 100,but you can work the megabass quicker.have to just use it to know what I mean.Hard to explain. I like the 110 in a little warmer water of the jerkbait bite.say when it is getting up around 55 to 60.Just have to try one out to tell if you like them or not, like I said two diffirent baits

I agree. With my limited experience I have found that these are two different jerkbaits that are probably best fished under two different conditions.

The LC pointer is a must have. Pretty much a true suspending jerkbait that works very well in cold water conditions.

The 110 is a slow floater that is probably better suited to be worked a little faster. I think it has a little more agressive action as well. I would definitely consider getting one to try out.

Another fun little jerkbait is the Megabass x-80 trick darter. It's pretty short at 80mm, but combines the suspending qualities of the pointer with some crazy action. You can pop it on slack line and it will "dart" 2 or 3 feet off to one side.

pd,

agree with you on trying the trick darter, one more thinh to add is that it has a shaft balancer in it that makes the bait shimmy while at rest, awsome bait!

None is better than the other, both are jerkbaits but they are different animals.
