newb from Monroe, la.  this site is addictive.  so many knowledgeable people.   question is, how do i get e-mail alerts when someone responds to a post.  I've checked the box but to no avail.  happy fishin guys.  now i can delete all the other sites out of my bookmarks

    As for the email alerts, I've never used them.  When I make a post in a thread I remember it the next day so I just go back and check it then.  However, I've never posted an urgent question that required immediate feedback.
