My first Lake Erie fish.  Not too shabby but not a big one by Erie Standards.

Standard Erie bait.  Green 4" tube in about 22 FOW.

I know that sounds like a cliche but it's amazingly accurate.

As much as I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, that seriously is an average fish on the Great Lakes.

Lake St. Clair and Lake Erie.  Actually the further north in Michigan you get the better the lakes get.  We have inland lakes that it takes 20+ lbs a sack of 5 fish to win.  Most of those are smallies.  Michigan is a wonderful place to fish.  Before you go getting jealous though, our fishing season is considerably shorter than the southern states so it's a trade off.

Great looking fish no matter where you are. Just wish my " Bonus Fish" had been that fleshed out. None of our smallies are that compacted.
