small girl, big smallmouth

Featured Replies

My almost 2 year old daughter reeled in a 3lb smallie Labor Day.

I held the rod and she reeled.

The whole time she was saying "Hi fishy" when it was jumping and Where's fishy when it was diving, then "there she is"

Senkos are great for kids too

That's wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool stuff!

A suggestion though: don't torque the fish by it's jaw like that, it leads to serious injury of the fish when you don't support their belly.

Hook for life........................maybe ;)

Good for her, and good for you, lets hope she grows up to be a great fisher man like her daddy  :)

Great pic!  Congrats! I can't wait to get my own little Princess started!

Also, Kudos for making sure that she was wearing a life vest.  While I try to always wear one when in a "challenging" situation (i.e. high winds, storm, etc.), I am not as consistent as I should be.   :-X  However, whenever my daughter is on my boat, it is MANDANTORY that she wear one!

Can't wait to see more of her pics!

Tight Lines!

Great pic and a high five for taking your young one!

Sometimes you forget how much fun fishing really is until you get a kid hooked.

Thats definitely a pic worth putting on the coffee table
