Hair Jigs

Featured Replies

Never spent anytime using these and have Zero idea on who makes a good one.  Gotta be weedless if I'm gonna use them.  Prefer wire gaurd over brush guard, but.....

Thoughts, suggestions, or comments.  I'd only be using these on a river that is mostly rocky and decent amt of current in some spots but slack  in others.

i just use booyah hair jigs the weed guard that came with mine were on the long side so u could trim them to any length u wanted

I use the BPS enticer hair jigs with a zoom tiny chunk and like them alot...I only throw them in the early spring myself though

What kind of head, hook kind and size and what colors are you interested in using?

The first hair jig i ever used... hmmm... I was fishing with a crankbait, and i hooked around an old line, (thrown away), but i kept the hair jig. The hook was not rusted, and looked like it was just lost. anyway, I tied it on, and automaticly caught 2 nice bass. now I like BPS enticer jigs.

Whatever catches fish man.  Nah j/k, honestly like I said, throwing a hair jig is something I've never done.  I'm assuming lighter than 1/4 oz and a wire guard is what I like.  I can go lighter than 1/4oz and actually fully expect to have to.  I just kinda wanted to know what everyone else used.  I really don't know why I hear some say a hair jig is what you want to use in "ice out" or late fall situations.

Hey Pont. Have a friends uncle who swears by hair jigs in fall late fall and winter. But he makes his own.
