Specific Smallmouth baits for Lake Erie

Featured Replies

Buddy and I are taking are making a 2 day trip to Erie, looking for some specific brands of Gobies and Tubes that seem to produce better than others, any techniques or areas to look for up there while on the water. Anything that can help us would be greatly appreciated!

The few times I have went I have used strike king coffee tubes in watermelon with red or copper flake! Also I used gulp minnows and chompers 4'' drop shot worms!

When we went last year anything Berkley gulp was good also caught them dragging tubes 4" anything in a natural color was good.

What gave it away....the yellow shirt or the 6# smallie?

A little of both ;)

Tubes seem to produce all the time it seems.  Drop shot and if they are aggressive jerkbait or spinerbait and that is some real fun.
