Buck's graphite jig pole 12' long. how would this be as a fnf rod ?

I think it would work just fine.  I prefer a shorter rod myself, but i would think it would handle longer leaders better.

Can't go wrong for $80. I have the 10'er for small tribs.

Not so great as a fnf rod either.  My friend used one for a season. 

Way heavier than your typical fnf rods, and the construction of the tip section of the blank could not handle the load of the bobber and fly while making a long cast.  His broke during a cast.  I won't say it snapped, but unraveled, in a graphite spiral just above the ferrule.

Silstar makes a Versitex? FNF rod that is pretty inexpensive ($40...?)and seems very popular around these parts.

If you already have this rod and want to know if it will work - Yes. Is it ideal for a dedicated purpose rod - No. Typical FnF rod is 8'-10' Light or ML with a mod or MF action. If you like BnM, they have FnF rod models.

you can always get a Bass Pro micro lite F-n-F rod for about $40.
