What lures should i try for a deep pond in alabama?

Same as any other pond in alabama.

Try all the ones you have and see which one gets bit. Once you find something that is working you can experiment with variations of size and color.

I do most of my fishing in ponds. These baits almost never fail me.

Zoom Trick Worm (weightless or shaky head rigged)

Baby Brush Hog (texas rigged, light weight)

4 and 5" Senko type baits (weightless texas or wacky)

3" Curly Tail Grub (small jig head)

7" Culprit worm (texas rigged, weightless or with a small splitshot/bullet weight)

Juts pick your preferred color and catch some fish.

A little more info on the pond and environmental factors would be helpful in making suggestions on what to try.

I have done most of my fishing in a pond. It really depends on the year, and time of year. In the spring when the water is clean I can use crankbaits and spinnerbaits. As the summer goes on and the weeds and moss get going I turn to texas rigged plastics. I use mostly bright colors because the water is pretty stained. There are rare moments in spring and early summer when it does get pretty clear, then I would use more natural colors.

I pond fish everyday.

Almost any soft plastic t-riged or on a jighead.

Rattle traps

Hudd swimbait, small grass minnow.

I'm mainly a pond fisherman too. The baits that produce for me this time of year are Chigger Craw, Brush Hogs, small jigs and light spinnerbaits. Be ready to experiement though.

I have never met a pond that didn't like a topwater frog.
