Red Power Pro Braid

Featured Replies

i was looking into putting some red power pro on my revo sx/vendetta(mostly because i think it would look good :D ), is there any major disadvantages to using red braid compared to green which i have on now, would put a leader fluro leader on with it. just wanted to know if anyone had and major problems with red line.

thanks

You shouldn't have any problems at all especially if you put a leader on.

I don't think you need a leader, but if it boosts your confidence, then go for it.

There's no real difference. I have red on a spinning rig, simply because they didn't have green or yellow, my two favorite colors. It works fine, LOL:

I have red on one of my setups and it doesn't behave any different than the yellow on my other setups or the green I've used in the past. The only difference was the price. ;)

My brother has had the red power pro bleed onto his cork handle, making for a lovely shade of pink. All power pro bleeds to an extent (that is why it fades), we just dont see the slightly yellow or green tinged water like you can with the red tinge.

I hit my red PowerPro with KVD line conditioner while I'm spooling it on (like I do with every line), and have had no fading or bleeding issues. :dontknow:

ok thanks guys yeah it is deff getting hit with some kvd spray, good thing i dont have a cork handle lol

It will fade into pink.

I have red on a reel and green on all the others

thats what i was curious about if it fades to a pinkish color....as the green i use fades also

KVD Line & Lure Conditioner slows the fading and reduces bleeding greatly.
