Okay guys I'm needin some help, we've recently got our first rain in a long time and it brought a cold front with it but the day I'm plannin on fishin it'll be about 80 come midday so, I'm wondering..Start off with a jig in the early mornin and as the day progesses switch to maybe a crankbait or flip heavy cover with a jig or creature????

psh. it seems like topwater is your answer for everything. you need to take up finesse worm fishing and deadsticking. way more exciting strikes

jig or shaky head around the outside edge of the weedline theyll still be lethargic from the front so go S.....L....O....w

If you're somewhere in Oklahoma I wouldn't worry too much about the front. Morning topwater is the norm. I think the fish may be roaming. I probably locate em first and then work on em with a jig or a t-rig. Is their spawn done ? The answer to that will help you determine your options. If the spawn is still going on the fish will have their priorities. You'll need to know.

I wouldn't worry much about the cold front. I'm at least a few hours north of you and we caught fish on everything we threw Tuesday and it never made it out of the 50's after being well below average temps for several days in a row.

Saturday I fished Pickwick and caught around 13 fish! 2 were on a trigged beaver and the rest were shakey head fishing, almost dead stuck it was so slow! Not that I dont fish other ways! I have caught WAY more bass this year on plastics, but I'm not gonna pass up the morning topwater bite to fish slow bottom presentations! PSH!!

Thanks everybody, I will try a topwater and go to a jig along the weed line I catch most out of the place I fish that way

I would stick with the jig but try adding two trailers in stead of one.

Spinnerbait, jig, lipless crank, trick worm t-rigged maybe a jerk bait thats my line up for this weekend

hahah i know i was kidding with you since theres no bone jarring strike with deadsticking like there is with topwater . and since when is 13 bass a slow day. hahah if thats a slow day i need to start fishing like you. B)

13 a day wasn't slow, but the way to fish the shakey head saturday was SLOW...almost deadsticking it! Just barely move it an inch every 30 seconds or so! Almost too slow..HAHA. But we caught em

oh. i was having a SLOW momment there. . i find that just barely stiching a 4 inch powerworm is a deadly presentation as well
