i was watching an episode of Bill Dance and he was using the dancing eel. i was at the BPS and found some. Of course, had to buy it. i was wondering if anyone used it and whats the best technique for these beast.

Fish bite the tail of them a lot and can be pretty hard to hook a fish with one. Fish them in places you'd fish most shallow running crankbaits but not around timber because they don't come through it very well.

Bluebasser is right, they get the tail more often then the hook, where im at right now the tadpoles are in huge numbers so I catch alot of fish on the teeny tad version of the bait, it has a shorter tail so you hook into more fish, but I like the full size eels in the hot summer along shallow shorelines,

Gimick bait in the beginning, catches a few nowadays but there are much better baits out there to spend your money on.

I only use them when pike fishing right about now. The big pike will take the whole thing and get the hook, but forget using it again!

Mine came apart the rubber got a rip in it from a pike and then it slowly just came apart over time I can pull it off for just a all white crank body

i have to admit... i bought one about 4 years ago.... thrown it twice maybe..it looks good but i would rather throw other cranks, etc.

i wish i could fish in the places Bill Dance does... seems like he could throw a helicoptor lure and catch'em..

shucks! i should of grab 2 more kvd than those. oh well. this time the lure really got me. can't return bc i already opened them and put them in my box.

they work fine for me, not all the time of course but certain times of the year. like i said im catching fish off the teeny tad right now.

i got the big ol boys. well i try them out in this pond ive fished at in Oklahoma. its almost looks the same as big dance was on. thanks for all the info

Waste of time and money. Like others said, spend your money on a bait that you will have more confidence in.
