But those new river smallies that will be calling my name might make me miss a class or two. JK

I spent my first year of college in Colorado. Big mistake! There were just too many finned distractions.

Don't do what I did, Don't take the first job offer you get during college. You may see dollar signs and benefits, but after you have a degree they will be better. Also, make sure your major is something that you can see yourself doing for the next twenty years. It is easier to swith majors when in school than to switch career paths while working.

Also, let me remind you. FINISH YOUR DEGREE.

So it is clear: I'm just messing with you guys, no offense intended.

Haha...got me.

I HAVE to keep my gpa up when i start college next semester. I can't afford it without the scholarship i received.

College is not that difficult of a process if you put the time into. I graduated last May with a 3.5 and I didnt even buy a book after my freshman year. If you keep your mind on important things (studying, class, hanging out, FISHING) and shy away from the partying scene, then you will do just fine. But in all honesty, college is what you want it to be. You have the freedom to do as you choose, I just chose to fish and hunt. Most of my friends went off and chose to party and are now working at the local gas stations  . Your choices will affect the outcome of your college career, and your college career will affect your job opportunities. Just think, the diffrence between a college degree and a high school diploma is estimated to be between $800,000 and $1,000,000. Think of the Legend bass boat you could buy and how many Dobyns rods and baits you could buy with that!

Radford bound. Big party school when my friends went there. My little brother graduated from Radford. Stick to the books your first year and you should be fine.

I'm headed to Radford

When I saw your New river reference I knew that was where you were headed!! I'm way past a 4 year college run, maybe 25+ years ago I would have given it a go but not now. Good luck and save some time to study and don't spend all of your time on the river!

Or getting slammed!
