Hook Removal From Face

Featured Replies

My long time friend Garry was unfortunate enough to get a hook in the face. The short video shows the best and easiest way to remove a hook from you or your fishing partner.

Wow..ouch..hope I never get one like that, though I have come close.

Thanks for sharing the technique.

so basically, just yank the hell out of it? great instructions

i believe the line has to be parallel to the hook shank. i seen Iaconelli do this once on City Limits when he hooked a cameraman in the back of the head i believe...

Funny thing is that most folks know that will work. It's whether or not you have the courage to try it! ;)

Ouch that look like it killed, hope I never do that blink.gif

Good video. I had to do that once with a hook in my leg. Using fishing line with some slack in it to jolt the hook free is MUCH easier that trying to wiggle it out by hand. It's about as painless as can be. Like Red Earth said, having the hook shank parallel to the line is key.

The only thing I gained from that video is you should apply an ice cold Bud Light to the wound.

Once agian, Old man has to show these young cats how to git R done!!...lol...

I guess now he knows how a bass feels.

I'm surprised Keri hasn't been on here recalling the story my wife told her about my episode of hook in the face. It was a streamer fly in of all places, my nose!

They sure did laugh quite a bit..... ;)
