Don't you hate when your really looking forward to going fishing and when the time comes the weather stinks. I really needed to get my fish fix on but the weather was nasty. After loseing my crankbait to a gator I went with a topwater frog. The couple I got on the frog were very visual hits. Just before leaving I was charged by an alligator. He just wanted the fish but it shook me pretty good. Video link at bottom.

It seems this year in Maine if you plan on fishing be prepared to get rained on! I can't remember a rainier season. I went fishing two days ago the weather man said it was suppose to be great and we had a down poor! I was wearing warm weather clothes and got soaked! Looks like you had fun!

Man there are a bunch of gators in that one spot! I don't think I could stand there and fish it like you were!

Not really worried about that. I'am constantly looking around and watching the mood of all the gators I can see. I usually do not have to worry about them doubling back on me. They like to stay in the water when your on the bank. If they come out of the water then then you over stayed your welcome. However if you come across one that has been fed by a human or hangs out where people clean fish then those are extremely dangerous. I'am more concerned about the ones that want to get in the boat.

Curious how do you handle the ones that does try to get in boat? I loved the video it had me rollin. " I don't what to break this $250 rod over a stinkin gator but I want that $5 hook back" that was great.

Night fishing would be out of the question for me if I lived there. Another curious question for any state that deals with gators, what are the laws for possessing either handguns or rifles while fishing from boat or land(possibly a 22)? Do you get in trouble for shooting gators or what can you do if ones does give chase or have curiosity problems?

That was some awesome video footage. You are a lot more brave than me, that was sick! I have only fished the banks in Florida on a Disney resort, I don't think there were any gators. At least I never saw any.
