What Is Your Favorite Place To Get Lake Maps?

Featured Replies

Looking to find a few "hard copy" lake maps. I have my navionics premium but i notice other maps use feet vs meters and show different points and drop offs. I like to get my maps from "Favorite Hot spots"- Americas best maps. But would like to find some others that might show me some new spots. Well chime in if you have any opinions.

Print out screen prints from Angling Technologies. They have an interactive map online.

On balance, 'NavPlanner2' displays more recent data than most hardcopies and their HD charts are in 1-foot increments.

By the way, you can change any unit to your liking:

<C> “Settings” menu

<C> “Preferences”

<C> “Feet” (In the "Altitude/Depth” dropdown menu)

Topographical maps

Bureau of Land Management

United States Geological Survey

County Court House

Older topographical survey maps are more detailed, I’ve one of Toledo Bend from the 1950s that has 3’ contour intervals.

In Virginia we have GMCO maps which are excellent.

Check them out.

If they don't have maps of your lakes ask George at GMCO who does.

Good luck. :)
