Anaconda??

Featured Replies

I have been hearing a lot of talk about the new rage tail baits. Has anyone out there tried any of these? In particular the anaconda 7" or 10" worm. What works the best out of these rage tail baits? I'm wanting to try them out but need to know if I am waisting my time or not. Thanks for any help!

They are great baits.  You will have success with them.

As a side note, make sure to post your question in the correct forum.  If you scroll down a bit, there is a question and answer section specifically for baits like the Anaconda.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I post a question about anything.

I use the 10" worm to try to keep dinks from hitting.  I noticed though that they still do!  It drives me crazy because they end up taking only a part of the hefty lure in their mouth resulting in my worm sliding down the hook, and a wasted time resetting the hook.  Also, the darn thing is so BIG it limits casting distance due to air resistance, but most of my cast aren't very far with it, so its a non issue.

On a positive not, it has some great action and my biggest to date is about a 4lber.  I think its a great bait in murky water where its water displacement and action can help Bertha key in on it.

I love the 10" anaconda in green pumpkin. I've had lots of success with it this year. I've yet to find a big worm that has the tail action of the anaconda.

Here are a few of my anaconda fish this year...

Browse through the last 20 pages or so of this section. Rage Tail

products were the "hot topic" for June. The 10" Anaconda is still my

favorite, but there are several threads on all the new baits.

8-)

I use them along with my big brush hogs. I love these dam ana's!!!

Im actually gonna go to basspro and grab a few more bags! Thanks for reminding me lol

Also, the darn thing is so BIG it limits casting distance due to air resistance,

Air resistance with a worm?   ;D

The Anaconda casts like a bullet.

I got a question I fish alot of ponds and usally catch smaller fish but usally find a couple 4 pounders should I use the 7inch or the 10 inch im just worried the smaller fish might stay away from it.

Just because a bass is 9" long does not mean it won't hit a 10" worm. Trust me. I fish 12" worms and catch dinks all of the time.

Bass will hit just about anything in any size.... :)
