I just got it today. I'm happy with it.

Nice truck, Bird dog. I have one, a few years older.

Congrats!

That's a nice looking ride. Hopefully when I'm older, I'll drive a nice truck as well. Any reason for the regular cab vs. extended or four door?

I've always liked the looks of regular cab trucks better than extended cabs. Plus I'm single, and I really don't have any need for a back seat.

I've got one like it but it's the 2500 with the 6.0 & it gets from 7-13 mpg towing/empty !

You'll be glad you got the smaller motor.

Vortec 5.3L V8

I put about 100 miles on it today. The more I drive it, the more I like it.

Good choice! The cylinder deactivation programming (PHASE) and injectors is made here in Rochester, at Delphi. It's pretty cool to be cruising down the highway towing a boat, running on four cylinders, LOL.
