Come on Grundie, you're as transparent as a teenage girl. Not impressed, yet opened and posted in an "Earthquake" thread on a fishing forum? Yea right! You don't have to admit that you hid under your kitchen table until the shaking stopped, but at least don't be a buzzkill for the rest of us that find the biggest earthquake for this area in our lifetimes a little interesting.

I was in CA during the Northridge earthquake in 1994 so I knew what was happening today so I didn't get too worried about it. Being so close to DC, I couldn't help but consider the thought of it being a blast coming from an attack or something. All the phone networks in the area were jammed for about an hour afterward.

Been through several 5+ earthquakes now, the worst being a 6.8.

This one will just provide good stories for folks who experienced it for years to come. Unnerving if you've never been in one, but amounts to nothing more than having somebody jump out the dark shadows and yelling "Boo!".

Was cutting keys for a job in the back of my work van, thought someone was joking around pushing on the side and jumping on the bumper!

I just thought someone was bringing a dump into the garage at first. It reminded me of being in a treestand when the winds blowing a little.
