I know there meant for the Drop shot, but jas anyone tried them with a senko weightless, I would think it would keep the bass from throwing the senko

now that people have fished with them, can anyone comment on these?

I used one today in a small stream for smallies. Pretty much just wanted to see how they worked. I only caught a 12 inch smallie on a zoom trick worm, the hook performed well for the 1 fish i caught.

I've had them for some time, and they're a superb dropshot hook. I'm very fond of the lack of twist with the hooks, they're reliable for that. They're also sticky sharp, and quite strong for their wire size. I've caught fish up to 6lbs on them with no ill effects. As a Senko hook: No. They're fine for nose hooking, but the majority of large diameter plastics won't work well because of the length of the hook point. I don't think they would work all that great for a wacky hook, either, because of the tie point.

If you want a new way to wacky without losing your baits as much try the Eco Pro wacky weight.

I really don't like using all fluoro on my set ups due to manageability and sensitivity. Do you guys think these hooks are meant to be tied to the main line (braid) on one side and tied to a fluoro leader on the other side?

whats the point of using a fluoroleader, or any leader for that matter, on a drop shot if your hook is still connected to the main line? sounds like it defeats the purpose. in fact, and maybe im ignorant here, but whats the point of a leader on a drop shot at all? i just use my main line and leave a long tag end for the weight. of course i use mono for everything except for one reel that has 17lb fluorocarbon on it...

Abrasion resistance. Especially since I also plan on trying some nanofil, which apparently frays really easily.

I used some today and like the idea, but I got the weight stuck on something on the bottom, pulled, and pulled, and pulled. The result, I lost the weight, and the bottom eyelet was bent. Other then that, they worked fine, The hook points are super sharp!

IMO the spinshots are a novel idea that catches fishermen and fish alike, but is fairly redundent. I would suggest you tie in a small swivel at the bottom of your main line (i use braid). Then add fluoro to the bottom of the swivel and proceed to tie on hook and weight accordingly. This eliminated a connection knot between braid and fluoro, and will reduce the dreaded line twist.

Gander Mtn. has them now. Looks like a good hook and a great idea. VMC has always made good sharp hooks!!!

IT's a very different mechanism, in comparison to a typical swivel. It just works much, much better than a swivel. The hook rotates so much more free around the wire than even a ball bearing swivel. There's really no comparison. The second part is that it really doesn't matter what knot you use on the lower line, I've actually been using 6lb mono with a surgeons to ensure that the lower leader breaks away, weights are much cheaper than hooks and baits. The last thing I want is to add any chance of the hook breaking from the main line or damaging the wire or hook mechanism.

I have used the braid to swivel to fluoro drop shot rig for a few years.......these hooks will be a welcomed addition to my arsenal. I bought some the other day and they will be one of the first things I try when the ice melts.

I added a couple of packs to a BPS order the last night. I'm looking forward to the benefits they are advertised to provide.

Looks like a good idea. I don't fish drop shot much, but I'm picking some up for when I do.

I think they have only one size. I may be wrong so if anyone knows the answer let me know?
